Should we privatise the royal family?

William Rees-Mogg, papa to Jacob espoused free-market principles and popularised them through his editorships of The Times, seminal books on the topic and a voice as a Westminster Parliamentarian.
Blood in the Streets: Investment Profits in a World Gone Mad was his contribution to disaster capitalism and his boy followed its guidance while tring making money from the chaos of Brexit.
Like most members of the establishment who wear chalk stripe suits and lunch in the City, he was a fan of the Royal Family. Now that almost everything has been sold off to private businesses for wealth extraction and Reform councils are selling public land off to their mates for a quid, I thought it was time to give the establishment’s fave family a dust off and run them through the IPO-inator.
Privatising the Royal Family and giving everyone shares could be the best economic move the UK has seen in a century. Just think of the cost savings. I’m pretty sure we could get Rylan Clark and his mum to do the main duties (whatever they are). Alan Carr could take on a princely role in a job-share with Bez.
Now there would probably be some concerns that we’re selling the family silver to the Germans, but that’s where we got it from. Like all privatisations of national assets we could have a clause that says we won’t sell the roles to overseas investors and then somewhere down the line, just forget that.
Yes, I can see it now. A lean, mean, Royal Machine run on free-market principles, with every UK citizen and shareholder and potential Royal. Balmoral could be vacated and left to go wild.
It really would be the ultimate free-market power move Maybe a Royal IPO is just what the country needs.
