This month marks the 35th anniversary of the release of cult Gallovidian album, ‘Straight Ootta Beeswing’. The breakthrough album was the first of many that brought Galwegian crooning to the attention of the world.
Although not from Beeswing himself, lil Wee Man felt his experiences growing up somewhere between Killywhan and Kirkgunzeon accurately reflected life on the streets of Beeswing in the 1980s.
This weekend lil Wee Man will treat a crowd of pals to an intimate concert in the garden of the Loch Arthur cafe where he’ll regail them with reinterpretations of their hits, “Mair bus shelters than busses”, “Ah wish we had a chippy like the urban folks”, “Ah shrunk ma bawbag in Loch Arthur” and “I’ll race ye up Lotus Hill cos there’s nowt else tae dae”
